Comparisons Between the Dada Movement and Punk - A Failed Essay Direction

Originally I began with a direction for the essay that was going to show comparisons between the work produced during the punk era and that with Dada. However, this wasn't taken forward as the aspects of both movements were too vast to compare, punk was also largely about music which Dada has little link to. In the end after a discussion it was decided that I would focus on collage and how that has been used a mode of dissent. This would allow for far more detail and a proper deconstruction of the topic - with reference to Dada and Punk but also other uses of collage during the 20th Century.
